"Blast" was a short-lived literary magazine and manifesto for the British Vorticist movement, a movement partially inspired by Cubism, formed by Wyndham Lewis in 1914. From the personal library of the poet Cheryl Van Dyke, a Pacific Northwest poet and artist whose early work, Cheat Grass, helped define the nascent literary landscape of Port Townsend's Copper Canyon Press in the 1970s. Van Dyke's name is in pen on the half title.
