“In her ground-breaking new book, Elizebeth calls on leaders and talent evangelists to usher in a new age of connection and collaboration. Insightful and easily understood, this book will help you thrive."
—MARSHALL GOLDSMITH, New York Times #1 Bestselling Author of Triggers, Mojo, and What Got You Here Won’t Get You There
Humanity’s biggest need is to connect. This will become particularly important as we use more technology and explore other planets in the future. If we move forward without keeping connection at our core, progress will be impeded and large segments of the population will be left behind. This book explains how AI in general, and blockchain in particular, can bridge our connection gap and help change the world for the better—by creating strong bonds of trust and unleashing the potential of all people, no matter where they live.
Author Elizebeth Varghese starts off by explaining what blockchain really is, so those new to this technology can build a solid understanding before then diving into its greater potential as the new frontier of human connection. With this foundation built, she then moves on to explain the ways in which blockchain can be used to solve a number of problems, many of which will only grow with time, like supply and demand issues and issues with financial transactions that cross the globe. Varghese then moves onto what she sees as perhaps one of the greatest benefits of blockchain: its ability to create a new level of global trust based on accessible, immutable data. This new type of trust will become increasingly important as we continue to work across geographical boundaries.
Varghese dives into great detail about the many benefits of blockchain, including how it:
- Recruits talent more efficiently and brings more diversity to the workplace
- Allows for speedy connections to skills and talents needed by today’s organizations to succeed and grow sustainably
- Helps with various HR matters such as employee payroll, benefits administration, and insurance
- Lends itself to the gig economy and working with distributed teams
- Can help create, verify, and protect the digital passports and digital resumes that will be so critical in the near future
- Will call for a new type of leadership based on relationships and trust
If the growth of your business depends on people, you’ll want to read this book. If you want to create a more diverse workforce, both of people and of skills, you’ll want to read this book. If you are ready to mobilize every kind of intellectual horsepower and create strong connections across the globe, then yes, you’ll want to read this book.
As Varghese asserts in the closing of the book, “Blockchain, when deployed with integrity and good governance, has the potential to help us operate seamlessly with trust—across our communities, our world and our universe.”
We all need to connect—to collaborate, to work together, and be together. Our barrier to operating seamlessly lies in how we trust as we share information about our lives, our credentials, our contributions. So, as we work across geographies, the next revolution is in trusting each other in our connectivity.
Will you join in, as our connected future awaits?
