The surgeon saves lives but knows when to pull the trigger
After years of war, loss, and covert service, Dr. Wyatt Barton, a retired CIA operative, Army Ranger and now civilian surgeon, wants only a peaceful surgical career and a future with lovely Gentri Lawrence. But this all changes when he reluctantly accepts a call to leave retirement and participate in one last Black Ops mission.
Meanwhile, a charming and well-respected U.S. Defense firm executive hides in plain sight and secretly plots high-tech terror attacks in the sleepy, self-absorbed United States. The overseas mission is compromised and during the battle, the terrorist leader's son is killed, and Wyatt is now targeted for assassination by the embedded terrorist organization.
Dr. Barton suffers injuries during the battle; he experiences a Near Death Experience and sees the light of powerful love. When he regains consciousness and life, he remembers the message he received from the light: He will receive a gift, but only if he heeds the specific moral warning that comes with it: No more killing.
Although his civilian surgical career and his relationship with his lover are threatened by his experience and his ostensibly worsened PTSD, he eventually realizes this gift is not just normal nightmares from PTSD, but in fact, clairvoyance, and it may somehow allow him to eliminate the evil terrorist and this dangerous organization.
He doesn't want to be a vigilante, but he struggles with how to use this new gift to eliminate the terrorist threat and protect the woman he loves while desperately trying to preserve his soul by honoring the moral obligation the gift demands of him when killing would by easy -and mercy could cost everything.
This is a military thriller filled with realistic medical suspense, bolstered by patriotism, love between a man and a woman, and faith in God. It is written for adults, men and women, ages twenty-one and older. While it is military based and about fighting terrorism, it is not written for just military veterans, but clearly for everyone who values patriotism, service to country, self-sacrifice, love and faith in God.
It is the first work in the Wyatt Barton and Ollie series.

Descrizione dello Store
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
