The Bookplate is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in the heart of downtown Chestertown. We specialize in regional Eastern Shore/Chesapeake Bay History, European, Middle East History and American history. We have a broad selection of signed first editions, fiction and non-fiction, from both American and international publishers. Our fiction, art, decorative art sections are well-stocked and carefully curated, as are our sections for European, African and North American history. We have sections on American presidents and British royal reigns and British Prime ministers. Please note that international shipping costs have risen drastically, and larger books may require an upcharge to ship. We have a warehouse which we are preparing to open in early 2025.
