"This must be the ultimate trolleybus book dealing with a single system and extends to 616pp on glossy paper within which there are 11 chapters and 18 appendices. Illustrated throughout with both colour and black and white photographs plus several colour maps showing the system at various points in its history. There is also one page devoted to examples of the tickets, also in colour. The book is a most thorough history of these environmentally friendly vehicles which served Bournemouth until 1969 and which at the time were deemed expensive and unfashionable. The book should also be of interest to anyone with a nostalgic or historic interest in the town of Bournemouth itself. Despite the weight of the book there will be no extra to pay.
