1843. Second Edition. 1185 pages. No dust jacket. Green decorative cloth with gilt titles to spine. Second edition, with a supplement. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Hinges reinforced with cloth tape. Pages are rough cut. Slight rubbing and marking to paste downs & endpapers. All pages quite warped and wavy. Some gutter cracking. Pages 755-766 loose, holding by one binding thread, with other sections also slack. Rear hinge almost completely separated from text block between pages 1184-1185, thus the board is slack. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping & fraying to corners, while spine ends are very crushed and frayed. Upper front corner and lower front board heavily dented. Notable splitting of varying size to spine ends, along spine creases and to front joint. Visible scuffing, small brown stain (approx. 1cm), and other marks across the boards.
