Last copyright dates 1903, 1904 (depending on which volume it is). Twelve volumes, complete. Bound in three-quarters deep burgundy morocco over beautifully marbled paper over boards with same marbling on endpapers. Spines have six compartments, with gilt lettering or gilt decoration in each one, five slightly raised bands. Gilt top edges. 7½ by five inches. Photogravure illustrations. Wear to spine heads and tails, with some loss of the upper surface of the leather. Corners tend to have a little more wear in that a very small area might be worn to the boards. Some joints appear to be a little tender but they are all sound, as are the hinges. Very tight copies. Most volumes show shelf wear to bottom edges of boards. One or two very small nicks in the marbled paper at the front edge. Eleven volumes have a large bookplate on the front endpaper, in the other it has been removed, leaving a bit of residue. The spine gilt, while somewhat dulled, perhaps, is quite ornate, leading to an attractive shelf presence. A very nice set, in fact. Codice inventario libreria
