A Catholic priest and former fire chaplain recollects his experiences in the Massachusetts fire service in this short and simple memoir, from the scene of raging conflagrations on Cape Cod to the solemn march through Worcester in rememberance of six brothers lost in the smoke and flame of a warehouse fire. Msgr. Harrington's memoir is a tribute to the brave men and women of the fire service and a rare glimpse into the chaplain's role within the department and his or her relationship with victims, families, and firefighters.
