Featuring an easy-to-follow guidebook and premium calligraphy pens and pen nibs crafted in Britain by Manuscript Pen Company using age-old techniques, Calligraphy Kit is the perfect place to begin your hand lettering journey.
With the included book and supplies, review calligraphy basics, such as pen styles, angles, and hand positions; letter heights and spacing; and practice strokes. Then move on to advanced techniques for rendering several calligraphic alphabets—including Sans Serif, Roman, Chancery Cursive, Uncial, Black Letter, and Batarde—as well as numerals.
The hardcover packaging, which conveniently doubles as a carrying case, includes:
- 32-page paperback book with instructions in English and Spanish
- 1 cartridge calligraphy pen
- 3 pen nibs
- 12 ink cartridges with 7 colors
- 1 felt-tip calligraphy pen
- Calligraphy paper
- A guideline sheet
Manuscript’s history in pen manufacture has a long and unrivalled story dating back to 1856, when the company was founded in Birmingham, England. Today, Manuscript continues to produce trusted, quality calligraphy supplies loved the world over by professionals and newcomers alike. Each Manuscript nib is hand pressed and undergoes meticulous manufacturing and quality processes to produce reliable writing and calligraphic results.
Handy Tip: To ensure your Manuscript nibs reach you in optimum condition, the nibs go through various stages of production to finish them to exacting standards. If your nib seems a little stubborn and the ink isn’t flowing as you’d expect, you may need to give it a hand. Gently remove the manufacturing residue by adding a little dish soap and diluting it with warm water. Dry thoroughly before use.
Fountain Pens: Replace the cap after use. If the ink dries out over time, flush the pen and nib with warm water, then dry thoroughly.
Dip Nibs: When storing your nibs, be sure to wash and dry them thoroughly before storing them in an air-tight container to prevent rust.
With this all-in-one kit, find joy, calm, and satisfaction as you enhance notes, cards, invitations, tags, wall art, signs, menus, and more with elegant calligraphy.
Warning! This product is intended for use by ages 14 and older and is not intended for use by children.
