Calorie Deficit Saved My Life is the raw, unfiltered story of a woman who hit rock bottom—and found the strength to rise.

At 23 stone, newly divorced, grieving the loss of her father, and raising three children, Sammi was emotionally and physically broken. Stuck in survival mode, she reached a moment of clarity—one that would change everything. With no fancy plan, no slimming club, and no idea where to start, she chose herself. One meal, one walk, one choice at a time.

This is not just a weight loss memoir. It’s a story of heartbreak, healing, and hope. Sammi opens up about her private struggles, her quiet determination, and the mindset shifts that led her to lose 11 stone—and gain a new life.

More than anything, this book is a reminder that transformation is possible, no matter how lost you feel. If you’ve ever stood in front of the mirror and not recognised yourself, felt like giving up, or doubted you could change… Sammi’s journey will show you that you absolutely can.

From broken to brave. From overwhelmed to empowered. From rock bottom… to rising.

PRAISE FOR CALORIE DEFICIT SAVED MY LIFE SERIES

"Just about the most easiest and straightforward book on “dieting” I’ve ever read. I could relate to so much in this book but never realised how easy it is to eat the food you love and still lose weight and all without having to try too hard. Amazing book with so much inspiration and useful ideas to keep you going. It really is just about consistency and no more of that “oh I’ll start again on Monday” malarkey. Well done to Sammi for making us see the light and realise how achievable it is. This book will be by my side every single day."
