applications in the biomedical field, including therapeutics, bio-imaging and diagnosis. It

will be the first book dedicated to the biomedical applications of carbon dots.

The key topics covered will include the use of carbon dots in therapeutic applications,

applications in drug and gene delivery, uses in bio-imaging and uses in the fabrication of

biosensors and nanobiosensors. The coverage of therapeutics will include the varied role

of carbon dots in anti-inflammation, delivery of drugs and genes, anti-pathogenicity, tissue

engineering and cancer therapies.

Professor Ravindra Pratap Singh is an assistant professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University. He has authored over 50 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, more than 30 book chapters and has more than 20 years' experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Dr. Raju Khan is a principal scientist at the Microfluidics & MEMS Centre, CSIR-Advanced Materials and Processes Research Institute. After receiving his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Jamia Millia Islamia, Central University, New Delhi, in 2005 he worked as a fast-track young scientist at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi Govt. of India.
