This directory tabulates the properties of fibre tows, yarns, fabrics, braids, mats, papers, felts, resin-impregnated tapes and fabrics and reinforced thermoplastic moulding granules made from carbon (graphite) from polyacrylonitirile (PAN), pitch and ravon precursors; oxidized PAN; aramid; boron and ceramic (alumina, silica, silicon carbide); high-performance glasses and quartz; and high-performance polymers and metals including mixtures of these fibres. The products are indexed by the name of the manufacturer in each section and numbered for easy cross-referencing, In addition, where appropriate, the individual product grades are classified and ranked so that they can be compared. Manufacturers and their subsidiaries and agents are listed and cross-referenced to the section in which their products appear with their names, addresses, telephone, telex and fax numbers, names of contacts and their trade names.
