Cathcart. William Saw, first Earl Cath cart, a British general and di lomatist, son of the ninth Baron Cathcart of Catlicart, Renfrewshire, was born September 17, 1755. Educated at Eton and Glasgow, and admitted an advocate in 1776, when he succeeded his father, he next car entered the arm took a prominent part in t e American war, an fought with distinction in Flanders and North German In 1803 he was made commander in-chief in Irelband. In 1805 he was engaged on a diplomatic mission to Russia; in 1807 commanded the land-forces cc-operatin with the fleet in the attack on Co enhagen, an for his services, was made a British) peer, with the title of Viscount, and received a vote of thanks from both Houses of Parliament. Sent in 1813 as ambassador to St Petersburg, be accompanied the Czar Alexander in the campaigns of 1813 and 1814, and was present at the congresses of Chatillon and Vienna. In 1814 he was raised to the rank of ear] and he died June 16, 1843.-his eldest son and successor, charles murray, long known as Lord Greenock, was born in 1783, served in Spain and at Waterloo, after wards acted in Canada, and was made a general. He died l6th July 1859. - A younger son, sir george cathcart, was born in 1794. Educated at Eton and Edinbur h,' he entered the army in 1810, served with the Eussians in the campaigns of 1812 and 1813, and as aide-de-cam to the Duke of Wellington, was present at Quatre ras and Water loo. After helpin to sup ress the Canadian re bellion of 1835, an after he ding the post of deput lieutenant of the Tower for five years, in 1852 e was made governor at the Cape, with command of the forces, and brought to a successful end the harassing Kaffir war. He returned to England in 1854 in time to be sent out to the Crimea as general of division. His bravery here was conspicuous, especially in the battle of Inkermann (november where the odds were so terribly against the British, and where he fell, shot throu h the heart. He was buried on the spot where he ell, which in his honour was named Cathcart's Hill. Cathcart was the author of a very valuable work entitled Commentaries on the War in Russia and German in 1812 - 13 (lond. See vol. V. Of Kinglake s Invasion of the Cm'mea.

However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. Returns Policy
We ask all customers to contact us for authorisation should they wish to return their order. Orders returned without authorisation may not be credited.
If you wish to return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to obtain authorisation.
Returns requested beyond this time will not be authorised.
Our team will provide full instructions on how to return your order and once received our returns department will process your refund.
Please note the cost to return any unwanted order to us is borne by the buyer.
Should your order arrive damaged, not as advertised or faulty, we must be advised of this within 14 days of delivery. Please contact us so we can find the best solution for you.

Il periodo di recesso scade dopo 14 giorni dal giorno in cui tu o una terza parte, diversa dal vettore e da te indicata, acquisisce il possesso fisico dell'ultimo bene o dell'ultimo lotto o pezzo.
Per esercitare il diritto di recesso, compila e invia elettronicamente una dichiarazione esplicita sul nostro sito Web, alla voce “I miei acquisti” nella sezione “Mio account”. Ti comunicheremo senza indugio una conferma di ricezione di tale recesso su un supporto durevole (ad es. via e-mail).
Per rispettare il termine di recesso, è sufficiente inviare la comunicazione relativa all'esercizio del diritto di recesso prima della scadenza del periodo di recesso stesso.
Effetti del recesso
In caso di recesso dal presente contratto, ti rimborseremo tutti i pagamenti ricevuti, compresi i costi di spedizione (ad eccezione dei costi supplementari derivanti dalla tua eventuale scelta di un tipo di spedizione diverso dal tipo meno costoso di consegna standard da noi offerto).
Potremo effettuare una detrazione dal rimborso per la perdita di valore dei beni forniti, qualora tale perdita sia il risultato di una manipolazione non necessaria da parte tua.
Eseguiremo il rimborso senza indebito ritardo e non oltre 14 giorni dal giorno in cui saremo informati della tua decisione di recedere dal presente contratto.
Il rimborso sarà effettuato utilizzando lo stesso mezzo di pagamento da te usato per la transazione iniziale, salvo che tu non abbia espressamente concordato altrimenti; in ogni caso, non dovrai sostenere alcun costo quale conseguenza di tale rimborso.
Possiamo trattenere il rimborso finché non avremo ricevuto i beni oppure finché non avrai fornito la prova di averli rispediti, a seconda di quale condizione si verifichi per prima.
Dovrai rispedire i beni o consegnarli a PBShop.store US, Springfield Gardens, New York, U.S.A., +44 1285 712917, senza indebito ritardo e, in ogni caso, entro 14 giorni dal giorno in cui ci hai comunicato la tua volontà di recedere dal presente contratto. Il termine è rispettato se rispedisci i beni prima della scadenza del periodo di 14 giorni. I costi diretti della restituzione dei beni saranno a tuo carico. Sei responsabile solo della diminuzione del valore dei beni risultante da una manipolazione diversa da quella necessaria per stabilire la natura, le caratteristiche e il funzionamento dei beni stessi.
Eccezioni al diritto di recesso
Il diritto di recesso non si applica a:
- La fornitura di giornali, periodici o riviste ad eccezione dei contratti di abbonamento; e
- La fornitura di contenuto digitale non fornito su un supporto materiale (ad es. su un CD o DVD), se al momento dell'invio dell'ordine hai accettato l'inizio dell'esecuzione e hai riconosciuto che non avresti potuto recedere una volta iniziata l'esecuzione.
