Can Homicide Inspector Hailey Wyatt solve a murder that might lead back to her very own family? Even if it means revealing a secret that she vowed she'd die to keep?
"Addictive. A thrilling ride you won't be able to put down until the very last page."
Two of San Francisco's most powerful residents are murdered. Is their killer making a political statement? Or is it more personal?
Homicide Inspector Hailey Wyatt is only just pulling her life back together after being recently widowed, when the case falls in her lap. The case has the media in a frenzy and the brass in a panic. The entire city is on high alert.
The evidence makes it impossible to deny that Hailey's family is at the center of the case.
Rumors in the department are that the assignment has nothing to do with her investigative ability and everything to do with her senator father-in-law.
The police chief's message is clear. Solve the case. Quickly. Or else.
The deeper they dig, the more questions arise, and the more troubling the case becomes. As the evidence points closer to home, Hailey's partner questions her dedication to the pursuit of justice.
Because Hailey has secrets of her own. Secrets she's vowed to protect. Secrets she's willing to die for.
Fans of Rachel Caine, Melinda Leigh, Karin Slaughter and James Patterson are going to love Danielle Girard.
Praise for One Clean Shot and the Rookie Club Series:
"Top-notch and a must read for suspense fans! ONE CLEAN SHOT is a fast paced and well-developed novel."-Nancy
"One Clean Shot is a hit at "Center Mass" I held my breath, I gasped, I cried, and not to the very end did I exhale! It was thrilling, suspenseful, exciting and gripping. The Rookie Club Series is on my TBR list and I can hardly contain myself. Danielle Girard is a brilliant writer who has developed some wonderfully complex women who are excellent in law enforcement yet very messy in their lives.Loved it! -Hungry Reader
"Great read!! Girard builds edge-of-your-seat suspense and tells a great story. She kept me guessing who did it all the way to the very end. I loved the characters, the relationships, and the tension that abounded between them throughout the pages." -S. Sharoody
"Captivating from the very beginning. Liked the character interaction and suspense of the story. Would highly recommend this to mystery and thriller fans."-L. Cottrell
"I read the first of this series and within a month had downloaded the rest of the Rookie Club Series as well her standalone books. All are engaging and page-turners. Download them, you'll be happy you did." -Kindle Customer

Descrizione dello Store
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
