About the Author

In her experience as a Certified Financial Planning professional, Martha Adams has spent her career helping her clients plan and achieve their financial goals. Throughout this journey, she discovered a common theme that she was determined to change: the negativity around financial conversations. The discussion around money and finances has traditionally been met with confusion, uncertainty, and an overall disconnect. This is because it has always been a one-sided conversation focused on gathering information in the mind and creating a task list instead of beginning with a firm understanding of a person’s feelings that have developed over time.

These experiences, feelings, and beliefs are in the heart, not in the mind. A person’s emotional connection with money and finances is the true starting point and one that has been overlooked or even worse, dismissed. This is where Martha’s educational background in both business and education shines, as she brings her heartfelt compassion, experience, and knowledge to uplift, empower, and educate those she works with.

Martha’s passion for changing the conversation around money and finances has become the focus of her life’s work. She believes in every- one’s ability to create positive and impactful change in their lives by taking back control through their own understanding and self-development. She invests her whole heart as she tries to bring out the best in the people she works with so that they can feel empowered in their financial journey. As an author and financial educator, Martha is committed to this process, and to keeping the conversation moving forward.
