Paperback. "The Climacteric" is a foundational medical and biological study by the distinguished Spanish physician and scientist Gregorio MaranA3n. This work offers a rigorous exploration of the climacteric, the critical period of physiological and psychological transition that occurs as the human body enters the later stages of life. As a pioneer in the field of endocrinology, MaranA3n provides a detailed examination of how the endocrine system and internal secretions influence this significant lifecycle shift. The text focuses on the biological transformations associated with both female menopause and the corresponding changes in the male constitution. MaranA3n analyzes the systemic impacts of aging, investigating how the decline of certain functions affects the overall health and vitality of the individual. By blending clinical observation with a deep understanding of human biology, the author seeks to demystify the complex processes that govern these internal changes.Of great value to students of the history of medicine and the life sciences, "The Climacteric" stands as a landmark in early 20th-century scientific literature. It reflects a period of significant discovery regarding the role of hormones and serves as a vital document in the evolution of our modern understanding of human development and the aging process. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
