Computational Intelligence in Healthcare (eng)

Artificial intelligent systems, which offer great improvement in healthcare sector assisted by machine learning, wireless communications, data analytics, cognitive computing, and mobile computing provide more intelligent and convenient solutions and services. With the help of the advanced techniques, now a days it is possible to understand human body and to handle & process the health data anytime and anywhere. It is a smart healthcare system which includes patient, hospital management, doctors, monitoring, diagnosis, decision making modules, disease prevention to meet the challenges and problems arises in healthcare industry. Furthermore, the advanced healthcare systems need to upgrade with new capabilities to provide human with more intelligent and professional healthcare services to further improve the quality of service and user experience. 

Dr. Amit Kumar Manocha is presently working as an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering Department and Director of Punjab Institute of Technology, Moga (A Constituent College of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical university, Bathinda), Punjab, India. He is author of more than 50 research papers in refereed Journals, International and National Conferences. Dr. Manocha had successfully organized five International Conferences in the capacity of Conference Chair, Convener, Editor of Conference Proceedings and more than 25 Workshops & Seminars. He participated in many International Conferences as Advisory Committee, Session Chair, and member of Technical Committee in International conferences. He is member in Editorial Boards for many International Journals. His area of research includes Biomedical Instrumentation, Remote Monitoring and Control Systems. He has guided more than 10 Master dissertations and 5 Ph.Ds are going on. He has been granted 02 Patents and Rs. 36Lacs from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India for research project on Identification of adulterants in Indian spices.

 Dr. Shruti Jain is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, H.P, India and has received her Doctor of Science (D. Sc.) in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She has a teaching experience of around 15 years. She has filed three patents out of which one patent is granted and one is published. She has published more than 09 book chapters, and 100 research papers in reputed indexed journals and in international conferences. She has also published six books. She has completed two government-sponsored projects. She has guided 06 Ph.D. students and now has 02 registered students. She has also guided 11 M Tech scholars and more than 90 B Tech undergrads. Her research interests are Image and Signal Processing, SoftComputing, Bio-inspired Computing and Computer-Aided Design of FPGA and VLSI circuits. She is a senior member of IEEE, life member and Editor in Chief of Biomedical Engineering Society of India and a member of IAENG. She is a member of the Editorial Board of many reputed journals. She is also a reviewer of many journals and a member of TPC of different conferences. She was awarded by Nation Builder Award in 2018-19. 

Dr. Mandeep Singh is currently Professor and Former Head in the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Department, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala. Dr Singh obtained his Ph.D. in Tele-Cardiology, Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (Instrumentation & Control). Dr Singh is a BEE Certified Energy Auditor and an Empanelled Consultant for PAT Scheme. Dr Singh has more than twenty years of teaching experience. His current area of research interest includes Biomedical Instrumentation, Energy Conservation, Alternative Medicine and Cognition Engineering. In addition to his regular responsibilities, he has served Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology as Faculty Advisor (Electrical) for more than eight years. Dr Singh is currently handling two research projects with DIPAS-DRDO related to fatigue detection and wireless monitoring of ambulatory subjects.

Dr. Sudip Paul is currently an Assistant Professor & Teacher (I/C) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, School of Technology, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, India. He completed his post-doctoral research at the School of Computer Science and Software Engineering, The University of Western Australia, Perth. He was one of the most prestigious fellowship awardees (Biotechnology Overseas Associateship for the Scientists working in the North Eastern States of India: 2017-18 supported by Department of Biotechnology, Government of India). He received his Ph.D. degree fromthe Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, with a specialization in Electrophysiology and brain signal analysis. He has many credentials in his credit out of which his First Prize in Sushruta Innovation Award 2011 sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and, he also organized many workshops and conferences out of which most significant is the IEEE Conference on Computational Performance Evaluation; 29^th Annual meeting of the Society for Neurochemistry, India, and IRBO/APRC Associate School. Dr. Sudip published more than 80 International journal and conference papers and filled six patents. He completed ten book projects in Springer Nature, Elsevier, IGI Global, etc. Dr. Sudip is a member of different Societies and professional bodies, including APSN, ISN, IBRO, SNCI, SfN, IEEE, IAS. He received many awards, especially the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) traveling fellowship, Young Investigator Award, IBRO Travel Awardee, and ISN Travel Awardee. Dr. Sudip also contributed his knowledge in different international journals as editorial board members. He has presented his research accomplishments in the USA, Greece, France, South Africa, and Australia.
