Contains papers from an April 1994 conference, West Point Core Curriculum in Mathematics, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, examining how the overall curriculum in mathematics might change as a result of recent calculus reform efforts. Examines potential curriculum changes in linear algebra, differential equations, discrete mathematics, and probability and statistics as students move from reform calculus into more advanced undergraduate mathematics courses. Proposals for reform are presented, accompanied by reactions from others in the fields of mathematics curricular design.
