This engaging handbook covers eight high-profile cases, aligning with Part I crimes and offering insights into crimes against persons and property. The book features well-known cases such as The Winona Ryder Shoplifting Case, The Seaton Hall Fire, and The Andrew Cunanan Case, delivering consistent and police-style analysis that includes crime definitions, statistical data, and investigative questions. RON GRIMMING
Ron Grimming has an extensive, and impressive, 33-year background in law enforcement. His career in law enforcement began in 1970 as a Special Agent with the Illinois State Police. He served in various investigative assignments including: special task forces targeting criminal activities associated with subversive groups, political and police corruption, illegal drugs, and financial crimes. He was promoted numerous times during his career, and attained the rank of Deputy Director of the Illinois State Police, supervising more than 2,500 officers assigned to the investigative and patrol divisions of the department.
In 1993 Grimming was appointed Director of the Florida Highway Patrol, where he managed the activities of 1,740 sworn officers and 528 civilian personnel. Grimming focused the patrol’s mission on highway safety through traffic enforcement, accident investigation, prevention of highway violence, interdiction of illegal contraband, investigation of auto-theft, and the development of public safety education programs. Through Grimming’s leadership, the Florida Highway Patrol received the recognition of being nationally accredited, after having its policies and operational procedures scrutinized by a panel of nationally recognized law enforcement experts. Also under Grimming’s guidance, the patrol won the prestigious National Chief’s Challenge, designating it as having the best traffic safety program in the nation.
During his law enforcement career, Grimming has served as General Chairman of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), State and Provincial Police Division, which represents the nation’s state police and highway patrol organizations on the IACP Board of Directors. Grimming also served as Chairman of the IACP Organized Crime Committee, and President of the State Law Enforcement Chief’s Association. Grimming has an extensive law enforcement training background having served on Florida’s Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission. Condizioni di spedizione
DOMESTIC SHIPPING:
We offer a choice of media mail (when applicable), first class, priority and/or expedited whenever possible. Choices for shipping methods vary and will appear at checkout (as well as additional opportunities to purchase insurance, extra insurance, etc.). All domestic orders include tracking.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING:
International shipping has become increasingly complex, but we do our best to keep up. If you have any questions regarding shipping to your country, feel free to reach out before you order. We will do our best to give you an exact quote.
All international orders include tracking and insurance. Expedited orders generally ship via USPS, DHL or Priority Mail International depending on the destination. Consolidated shipping is usually via Asendia or a similar, reliable carrier.
**VAT, Fees & Taxes: **
Where your country requires, and when under the value threshold set by your country, VAT is collected at checkout and remitted by the marketplace you ordered through. Any additional fees, duties, or taxes your country or carrier charges upon arrival are the buyer's responsibility (collected by your postal service or carrier when the package is delivered). The one exception is the European Union (see below).
The European Union:
As of 2026, the EU has added a new customs duty on every parcel entering the Union. Because of this, we are now required to prepay all duty and customs (DDP) before shipping, which is why you may notice that our EU rates run significantly higher than other countries. Additionally, on orders over 150 Euros, the full VAT tax due, over and above €150, is most often not collected by marketplaces at checkout. We may contact you through the marketplace you ordered to collect these additional VAT fees before shipping.
Typical speeds:
Although customs and overseas carrier delays sometimes happen and are outside of our control, the following should be a good guide (Business days only). If you need it faster, feel free to reach out. Sometimes we can achieve the “almost” impossible :)
Canada: Standard 10 to 21 days; Expedited, 6 to 12 days
United Kingdom: Standard 2 to 3 weeks; Expedited, 4 to 7 days by courier
European Union: 6 to 12 days by courier
Australia and New Zealand: Standard 2 to 4 weeks; Expedited, 6 to 12 days
