The Curious Adventures of Voke and her Robot Friend follows the unlikely bond between Voke, an adventurous ten-year-old girl, and a broken robot she discovers in her backyard after a storm. Intrigued by its blinking lights, Voke decides to fix the robot, whom she later learns is named Bob.

Their initial connection blossoms as Voke’s curiosity and resourcefulness combine with Bob’s technical knowledge. Bob patiently explains basic concepts of circuits and energy, and they work together to power him up. Their teamwork deepens into a genuine friendship as they explore Bob’s inner workings and share their unique perspectives on the world.

Their ordinary backyard transforms into an exciting workshop as they face the challenge of a faint signal detected by Bob, hinting at his origins. They build a device to track it, encountering obstacles that require creative problem-solving and further solidify their bond. The signal leads them into a mysterious forest, where they navigate treacherous terrain and learn practical engineering skills from Bob.

The signal intensifies near an abandoned laboratory, a treasure trove of forgotten robotics research. They uncover the lab’s secrets, including a map projected by an old machine, revealing locations of other robot companions scattered across the globe. This discovery deepens the mystery for Bob, who doesn't remember these potential allies but feels a strong connection to them.

Their quest takes a perilous turn when the map points to an underwater location in the Mariana Trench. Voke and Bob return home to design and build a small underwater vehicle using household items and Bob’s engineering expertise. Their initial underwater exploration leads to the discovery of sunken gadgets and relics, reinforcing the importance of teamwork in the risky environment.

They locate a communication device that transmits a cryptic warning about a failing global energy system and reveals the existence of a hidden network of intelligent robots. Voke and Bob lead a team of these robots in a race against time to restore the energy system, facing action-packed challenges that demand their combined creativity, teamwork, and resilience.

In the climactic showdown, they defeat a rogue artificial intelligence sabotaging the energy grid. With the world saved, Bob, now fully integrated into Voke’s life and having found a new purpose, decides to stay with her to continue their explorations. The novel concludes with Voke reflecting on the invaluable lessons she’s learned about technology, teamwork, and the enduring power of an unexpected friendship.

Returns Policy
We ask all customers to contact us for authorisation should they wish to return their order. Orders returned without authorisation may not be credited.
If you wish to return, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order to obtain authorisation.
Returns requested beyond this time will not be authorised.
Our team will provide full instructions on how to return your order and once received our returns department will process your refund.
Please note the cost to return any unwanted order to us is borne by the buyer.

Effetti del recesso
