As a pastor for 15 years, I wish I could say I'm surprised by the results, but I'm not. Hundreds of conversations over the years have confirmed that sadly, for most Christians, the Bible remains a mystery. I wrote this book because I want you to enjoy the Bible as much as I have over my 20 years following Jesus. While the scraps of notebook paper that were stuffed in my first Bible are long gone, this book is a collection of insights and ideas I've collected over the years as I've read and taught the Bible to others.My hope is that you will read these short devotionals each day, and they will help you enjoy your time with God. You won't find scholastic analysis or in-depth explanations in these pages, that's not the intent. The scriptures, stories, and prayers are intended to help you build the habit of daily time with God. As you spend more time with Him, you will want to know more about him, and the more you search for him, the more you will find him.
