The rear half of the 8vo hardcover in NO dust jacket has been exposed to moisture causing light staining of the pages' edges, some page crinkling, and related expansion. The evidence of moisture exposure is most pronounced in the rear of the book and at the edges, so the pages reveal less evidence of same as one moves from the back to the front of the book and it largely dissipates altogether approximately half way through the book. On a further positive note, while the moisture exposure does include the text of latter pages, it does does not appear to have reached the gutter of any page, none of the pages seem to have stuck together, and except for the last few pages, the light staining found on the pages' edges is not visible on the pages themselves. As a consequence, the entire contents (ix + 898 pp.) are fully legible and securely bound. Brown boards with gilt spine lettering. The upper board does have a light wrinkle crease, the spine does have a touch of crinkling in the middle, and the lower board is a bit warped as a result of the aforementioned expansion on the fore-edge side of some of the contents. Overall, however, the covers are better than it might sound.
