In the clamor of everyday life, we are constantly distracted from what matters most: living as our sacred self, intimately connected to the Divine. My Deepest Me offers readers a powerful and innovative path for doing so; a 30-day guided journey to forge an enlightened relationship with Self and Source.
Spiritual director, educator and author, Janice Lynne Lundy offers us gentle guidance, exercises and affirmations, along with the opportunity to reflect and write about our understanding of who we really are. Day by day, she invites us to shine the light of awareness of what keeps us from inner peace, love, and joy, and to supplant what we find with fresh insights and nourishing spiritual practices. At the end of the journey, we can rest in the knowledge that we have responded well to this holy call to live as our deepest self, not just for our own well-being, but for the betterment of humanity.
My Deepest Me is an ideal guidebook for seekers of all traditions; an excellent tool for spiritual formation programs and for spiritual directors to use in private sessions and retreat settings.
"... Janice Lynne Lundy charts a course for us in her excellent thirty-day journey to My Deepest Me... In working with spiritual directees, this book could provide a valuable practice ground for the process of inner awakening and integration. Lundy has a way of leading the reader from the mountaintop of lofty spiritual concepts into the nitty-gritty of everyday life in the valley below where lasting change can make a real difference." —As reviewed in Presence: An International Journal of Spiritual Direction, December 2015
"In My Deepest Me, Janice Lynne Lundy leads us inward on the most important journey of our lives, the discovery of self and soul. Her sure-footed approach steadies us as we dare to open our hearts to ourselves so we can serve others from the deepest well of our being. In this book, we find a great treasure: a simple program that can change us profoundly." —Peggy Tabor Millin, author of Mary's Way and Women and Writing, and Soul-Making
"Jan Lundy is a gifted and generous teacher, gently companioning our attention away from the busy and dizzying demands of the world, and back to the sacred now-ness at the heart of being." —Ingrid Goff-Maidoff, author of Befriending the Soul and The Joy Book
Janice L. Lundy, DMin, MPC, is an interfaith spiritual counselor and guide who has been pointing us back toward the Sacred for more than twenty years. She is the author of several spiritual growth books and an educator; co-director of The Spiritual Guidance Training Institute, and a Visiting Professor of Spiritual Direction at The Graduate Theological Foundation.
