Tevfik Balcioglu is a retired academician; previously he worked as Vice Rector and Professor of Design at Yasar University in Izmir, Turkey. His edited works include Design and Resistance (2014), Gendered Perspectives in Design (2013), Dancing with Disorder (2007) and The Role of Product Design in Post-industrial Society (1998). In 2019, he received the Lifelong Design and Innovation Award in the Service of the European Academy of Design.
