Foreword by Becky Higgins As you probably know, I've always enjoyed organizing my life and my home. My scrapbook room has specific "homes" for my paper, my ribbons, my pens. In fact, "a place for everything and everything in its place" is one of my favorite organizational principles. It's only natural to apply this same principle to my scrapbook pages, so I am especially excited to have this book as one of my new favorite resources. In A Designer's Eye for Scrapbooking, Ali Edwards teaches us how to think of a blank piece of cardstock as a foundation for a layout and how to divide that foundation into individual "homes" for photographs, journaling and embellishments. And that's just one of the many things I learned by looking through Ali's "designer's eye" on scrapbooking. I loved her ideas on creating balance in an eye-appealing fashion. I found the layouts in this book to be just like Ali herself inspirational and charming! I think you'll find, as I did, that this book is an invaluable guide for creating well-designed scrapbook pages that will be treasured for many years.Ali teaches us that there is "a place for everything." She's certainly found her place in the world of scrapbooking. As a graphic designer who also happens to be a talented scrapbooking artist, Ali brings a unique perspetive to the world of scrapbook page design.Enjoy discovering a place for your memories, Becky
