Aggiungere al carrelloLittle Blue Book number 1056; edited by Emanuel Haldeman-Julius. A small (3.5 by 5 inches), staplebound (two staples) booklet of 64 pages, printed on cheap stock and here with its original blue cover faded to tan. One of ten Bierce titles reprinted by the Haldeman-Julius Publishing Company from 1926-1927; many such LBBs were sold for a nickel from vending machines. A sample entry: "PRAY: v. To ask that the laws of the universe be annulled in behalf of a single petitioner confessedly unworthy." Both front and back covers are separated from the textblock, and the first page is Bierce's Preface, so if there were endpapers, title page, etc., they're missing here. The book is unmarked; age-toning and soiling to the wraps and pages; sleeve protected.
