ISBN 978-3-940176-19-6 Albert Venn Dicey (1835-1922), zunächst Advokat, ab 1882 Professor für englisches Recht in Oxford und später in London an der School of Economics, publizierte Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts sein in England führendes Werk zum Konfliktrecht, dem John Bassett Moore eigene Anmerkungen zu amerikanischen Urteilen zum Internationalen Privatrecht anfügte. Moore, der Professor für internationales Recht an der Columbia Universität in New York war, sorgte für diese englisch-amerikanische Ausgabe und "has appended to each of the leading chapters of this Digest a statement of American law on the subject therein dealt with, and has given the authorities, ans especially the most recent American decisions, with support the conclusions at which he has arrived" (Preface). Das Werk ist in drei Teile unterteilt: Book I: preliminary matters (interpretation of terms - domicil - british nationality) Book II: Jurisdiction (jurisdiction of the high court - jurisdiction of the foreign courts) Book III: Choice of law (status - family relations - contracts - torts etc.) Appendix: American notes.
