Alden J. Balmer, also known as Doc Fizzix, was selected as the 1996 Most Outstanding Science Teacher in Texas and has been building mousetrap-powered vehicles for 18 years. He has been featured on several national TV programs and magazines, including Boy’s Life, Physics Today, and The Science Teachers. He lives in Round Rock, Texas.
