If you thought that the symbols of Easter were eggs and bunnies, with fluffy chicks thrown in for good measure, think again! If you part the branches of the Easter Tree you'll discover a crop of symbols surrounding the good news of the cross and the empty tomb. You might already be aware of some, like the palm leaves and the crown of thorns, and some you may be meeting for the first time, like a bag of coins and a pair of dice. As you find each symbol you'll begin to see why Easter is so much more than eggs and bunnies, but you'll also see why the egg and the tree help us to understand the story better. This book follows the story of Easter through the Gospel narratives. Each step along the way is marked with a symbol, illustrating the story and helping the reader to become familiar with the events of Jesus' Easter journey. Page-by-page symbols build into a picture of the Easter Tree which appears as a colouring activity in the center of the book. Photocopy permission is included for the Easter Tree illustration. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.…
