Decorative headpieces and initials. 'Of Political History in General' and 'Of the History of Successions, in States, Countries, or Families' each have a separate title-page dated 1681; pagination and register are continuous. 'A Synopsis of Councels', by John Prideaux, a translation of his 'Consiliorum Synopsis' (Wing P3421), has a separate title-page dated 1681; pagination and register are separate. This edition may also have been issued separately (Wing P3437). Includes indexes. Edited and published after Mathias Prideaux's death by John Prideaux, his father. Some rubbing and abrasion on binding. Previous owner's name on free front endpaper . Moderate and sporadic browning throughout. Binding in overall good, interior in good condition. one page is come apart from binding as in photograph.
