The four-issue series interweaves the text, as faithfully revised and completed by Joe R. Lansdale, with detailed black-and-white illustrations. Thomas Yeates had provided the artwork for this first issue, while Charles Vess, Gary Gianni, and Michael W. Kaluta respectively illustrated issues 2-4, each to be housed under a gorgeous painted cover by Arthur Suydam.
