Effective Minute Taking. Questo articolo non è disponibile.Effective Minute Taking

People frequently find themselves called upon to take minutes, with little guidance on how they are expected to produce an accurate record of what took place. Ambiguous agreements, a vague agenda, interruptions, and a poor chairperson are just some of the factors that can make this a daunting task. This book will provide practical guidelines for overcoming the problems faced by minute takers and achieving accuracy in the minute-taking process. Both theoretical and practical with a comprehensive FAQ section. Includes checklists, further reading, useful contacts, and boxed sections highlighting hints, tips, and exercises. Will encourage the reader to take a proactive approach to minute taking, and allow them to sharpen their skills-sets and build confidence to embrace new ideas. This book charts the logical development of the minute-taking process, starting with an initial discussion of the purpose of minutes. Then moving on to the process through to the production of a set of minutes in their final form. The final chapters include associated topics, including the use of technology and the development of interpersonal skills. The penultimate chapter then deals with a selection of frequently asked questions and the final chapter provides a series of comprehensive reminder checklists.
