A 239 page work that is beginning to separate from the spine at the free front end page, the ffep having the written name of a prior owner on it twice. There is wear at the head and tail of the spine and the lettering on the spine is beginning to fade. There are writings and calculations on both sides of the blank last page and inside the back cover also beginnings of separation from the spine here. The author was a Professor of Mathematics at Dartmouth College at the time of writing, more than a century and a quarter ago. There is, in addition some limited writing on interior pages. Wear along cover edges and ends. Still a serviceable copy of a rather scarce, if not rare, book available for immediate shipment, carefully packed!
