Part 1: The Elements; part 2: Notes Critical and Geometrical; part 3: Euclid's Data; part 4: The Elements of Plane and Spherical Trigonometry. English text. Handsomely bound in contemporary full calf, smooth spine with gilt bands. Initial and terminal blanks present. Diagrams throughout. Printed side-notes. Three folding plates towards the back of the book. Dedication: "To the King, this edition of the principal books of the elements of Euclid, and of the book of his Data, is most humbly dedicated, by His Majesty's most dutiful, and most devoted subject and servant, Robert Simson". Condition: GOOD. Collated complete. Binding tight and secure. Some rubbing and abrasions to covers, lacking spine title-plate. The textblock very well-preserved. Front endpaper shortened at fore edge. Pastedowns with some inking. An excellent copy.
