Nancy Peterson, Ed.D., believes that literacy can empower children, a lesson she's learned as the teacher and parent of budding young writers. Nancy frequently gives presentations on elementary language arts methods and building strengths in children. She also consults with former students as they set up writing workshops in their own classrooms, helping children become writers. She currently serves as an associate professor of teacher education and as the Faculty Service-Learning Coordinator at Utah Valley State College. Nancy obtained her doctoral degree in elementary education with minors in gifted education and counseling educations from the University of Virginia.
