By Mary Berry and printed in London by Richard Bentley. 1834, 2 volumes, 461 and 214 pp, 8.75 x 5.75, 8vo, hardcover full leather. Overall very good. Nicely rebound in 1972 by J. Larkins. Minimal exterior rubbing and wear. Hinges remain tight and text block remains bound in nice condition. Light markings and marginalia at front of bth volumes. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce piece and attractive rebind. Considered the most prominent work of the career of Mary Berry (1763-1852), an English writer who is also known for her inheritance and close association with Horace Walpole and his extensive literary collection.
