The only DP English B resource developed with the IB

The choice of articles is superb - they serve not only as reading comprehension exercises but also generate spontaneous discussion. However, the best are 'Beyond the Text' sections. They have taken me to the areas which before I would have seen as totally unrelated to what we have been doing in class. Also, the pictures in the book for the first time made it absolutely clear for me how to prepare the visual materials for the oral exam. I was a bit at a loss regarding the captions - now I know I am fine. (Barbara Czuszkiewicz, English Teacher, Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace, Poland)

This is a brilliant book. At workshops over the last twenty years, I have listened to teachers swapping suggestions about course books, and at last here is a book that provides everything you need under one cover. It will become absolutely standard for English B teachers everywhere; any thoughtful teacher can treat this book as a kind of mini training course in good teaching practice. (David Ripley, English B Consultant, InThinking)

I think it covers the topics very nicely and aligns with the new IB program in so many aspects such as themes, connection with TOK, and new Written Assignments. I definitely find it a great choice for teachers as it saves a lot of time from planning and choosing relevant articles that students will find attractive. Also the types of exercises are very well structured and challenging enough for students to find a balance between text analysis and reflection of the issues presented. (Carmen Benítez, Head of Languages Department & English B Senior Examiner, Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico)

I received your book yesterday and I wanted to say THANK YOU! It is beautiful and our Language B teacher for next year is simply over the moon to have a guide. Rest assured, we'll ordering more for the next school year! (Rebekah Hommel, Head of English, The English School, Colombia)

This English B course book is by far the best resource for the new IB English B course and follows the new syllabus very closely. (Trevor Lewis, English Teacher, Danube International School, Austria)

I've got to say that it is really amazing. It's full of good activities and the reading texts are really appealing. (Juan Manuel, English Teacher, Deutsche Schule Sankt Thomas Morus, Chile)

I'm using the book a lot. It's a great help with this new syllabus. I like it a lot. (Judith Goebel, Head of English, Frankfurt International School)

The new English B textbook is great! I am already in love with it. (Detelina Angelova, Head of English, Vassil Zlatarski Private School, Bulgaria)

My students have been using the new English B book and find it stimulating, informative, and readily addressed the assessment. It is such terrific news that we have a Skills and Practice book for students in the future. (Maggie Zhang, Head of English, Guangdong Country Garden School, China)

Our Head of English finds the English B: Course Book stimulating, complete and absolutely useful for teachers and students. We have been using the book for teaching English B HL and SL since last year; the results are really great! (Ginger Alvarez Bolona, Deutsch Schule Guayaquil, Ecuador)
