Recensione: I really like the Evolution book. It is a very attractive book with clearly designed and informative diagrams, and the explanations in the text are clear and concise. Some topics in evolution are very complex, in particular the molecular events underlying drift and selection, and Evolution takes the reader through these processes step by step, each part of the text building on the previous sections, and this makes the difficult concepts much easier to understand. Throughout, there is an excellent link between the underlying molecular processes and evolution at the organism level, particularly in the last two chapters on human evolution. I will certainly recommend the book to my students, and I will also read large parts of it for my own education and enjoyment.
