Family Law and Practice, second edition, prepares students to enter the workplace both knowledgeable in aspects of family law and equipped with a grasp of the procedural law requirements of family law practice, including the types of documents filed with courts and the tools used to facilitate the gathering of information needed to determine financial issues and custody and visitation dispositions. To prepare students to be effective from the first day on the job, a section on office procedures is included in each chapter and end-of-chapter exercises and applications have been expanded to build the conceptual and procedural skills needed to be effective in today's law office.
