Bramblehollow was a village of peace until the well whispered back.
When black mist erupts from the heart of the square, bringing with it creatures that mimic children's cries and laughter, four strangers are thrust together in a desperate stand. Faro Goodchild, a retired wanderer with secrets tied to the fey. Edwynn, a cheerful dreamer with more courage than sense. Jeltina, a stern devotee of the Everlight. And Arrin, a reluctant fighter who trusts nothing least of all fate.
Their defense of Bramblehollow sparks something older than chance: a bond forged in battle, and a summons to descend into the Forsaken Chambers beneath the well. There, in tunnels carved to contain a breach between worlds, shadows have teeth and whispers twist the mind.
Chosen not by destiny but by necessity, the trio must face Shademaws and the horrors of the Feydark before the mist consumes more than a village.
A tale of loyalty, fear, and reluctant heroism, The Selected begins the saga of Fate's Trio, where ordinary lives collide with ancient darkness, and survival means surrendering to the call of adventure.
