Beautiful Edition of the Fables with 24 full page Illustrations from Drawings by Harrison Weir. Frontis Illustration is the Frog and the Ox. Title Page Illustrated with a drawing of a monkey and 2 cats, "Justice". Red cloth cover with Gilt Title above Pasted Down Monochrome Illustration of a Lion, in indented panel. Gilt lettering and animal head (like a pine marten) on spine. 150 Pages + Publisher's adverts. 8 1/4 Tall, 590g. Slight wear at spine ends and tips of corners. Spine colour slightly faded. Nearly all Illustrations protected with Tissue guards. No inscriptions. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
