Held in May of 2001, the international conference focused on in situ and on site measurement technologies related to soil, water, and air and the human impacts caused by forms of waste. Sixty-four papers are presented organized into sections on screening strategies, sampling and sample handling, and method comparison; site characterization; physical and chemical sensor technologies, and biological sensor technologies.
