All the Flowers That Still Bloom: A collection of lives lived with, not in spite of, disability.
Inside this collection you will find the beautiful everyday, the silence of hospital waiting rooms, and the letters we would send to today's disabled youth. Here you will find life, real, raw, messy, life. A celebration of all it is to be disabled today, and an acknowledgement of the struggles we still face. The title “All the Flowers that Still Bloom” stemmed from all of the beauty that has emerged from lives others may view as less than, all the beauty that shines through despite the barriers disabled people face, all the beauty that remains in the everyday.
This collection was compiled as part of the not-for-profit project 'Alive with Chronic Illness'.
