Informazioni sull?autore: WALTER D. PILKEY, a former smokejumper from Washington State, has graduate degrees from Penn State and Purdue. An author or editor of more than 20 books and over 250 technical papers, he is also the Editor-in-Chief of the journals Finite Elements in Analysis and Design and Shock and Vibration. He is now the Frederick Tracy Morse Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Virginia and Director of the Impact Biomechanics Program.
