Association copies: both books are signed by former owner on the blank page before the title page: "Blanche Stanley Hallet / Newton, Mass." Hallett was the daughter of F.E. Stanley, one of the twin Stanley brothers who founded the Stanley Motor Carriage Company (1902-1917) and built the "Stanley Steamers." These Everyman's Library books show edgewear; gilt top page edges; ribbon bookmarker; some tearing to edges of spine. Mylar protected.
