The Official Companion Guide of the Cisco Networking Academy Program's Fundamentals of Java Programming course
- Maps directly to the Cisco Networking Academy Program's Web-based course
- Prepares students for the Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform exam
The Cisco Networking Academy Program has extended its reach beyond its well-established and highly successful CCNA and CCNP curricula. Cisco Systems has partnered with other leading information technology companies to bring robust Web-based courses focusing on popular IT areas. The Fundamentals of Java Programming course, sponsored by Sun Microsystems, was launched in the summer of 2002 with the first courses being offered in Fall 2002.
This Companion Guide from Cisco Press maps directly to the Web-based course and also features additional material to further prepare students for the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform exam. The Companion Guide uses a step-by-step approach to allow students to develop an understanding of Object-Oriented programming and solve business problems. Students will learn how to create classes, objects, and applications using the language. Topics will also include the language fundamentals and the Java language API (application programming interface).
