Thomas Pötsch investigates the channel properties of cellular networks and analyzes the effects that cause inefficient performance of legacy congestion control protocols, such as TCP and its variants, on cellular networks. Thomas Pötsch completed his doctoral degree at the Communication Networks Group of TZI (Center for Communication and Information Technology), University of Bremen, Germany. He is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Computer Science at the New York University Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, working in the field of mobile communication and transport protocols.
