Morn Hyland had survived a terrible ordeal at the hands of one space pirate, only to find herself trapped in the ship of another, surrounded by hostile, unfriendly faces. Nick Succorso had rescued her, but for what purpose? He and his crew were all illegals, and she was a cop - a cop with gap-sickness. Just having her on board would put all their lives at risk. But Nick knew that Morn possessed something that could be of value to them all - and he had every intention of exploiting it. As she struggled to recover from her shattering experiences, Morn would hear increasingly shocking tales of corruption in the UMCP, and even more alarming rumours of a shadowy alien life force - the Amnion - with their all-consuming mutagens. All too soon, on the long and hazardous voyage to forbidden space, the bizarre stories would become horrifying reality. 'Forbidden Knowledge' is the second novel in the epic five-volume 'Gap' series from the bestselling author of the 'Thomas Covenant' books that began with 'The Gap Into Conflict: The Real Story':- Review(s): "Fascinating. In The Real Story, Morn Hyland had survived a terrible ordeal at the hands of one space pirate, only to find herself trapped in the ship of another, surrounded by hostile, unfriendly faces.
Nick Succorso had rescued her, but for what purpose? He and his crew were all illegals, and she was a cop – a cop with gap-sickness. Just having her on board would put all their lives at risk. As she struggled to recover from her shattering experiences, Morn would hear increasingly shocking tales of corruption in the UMCP, and even more alarming rumours of a shadowy alien life force – the Amnion – with their all-consuming mutagens. All books offered for sale are complete and sound (any missing / loose pages or cracked / broken spines will be mentioned in the book description). Our book-seller images are of, not just the listed edition / print, but also of the actual book you will be buying (the cover collages are made from 3 individual scans of each book that are then displayed as a wrap-around image - the books themselves are NOT damaged in any way by this process). Book sizes, where given, are to the nearest ¼". Each book has then been graded according to its condition, taking into account the degree of creasing to the covers and/or spine, presence of scuff marks or tears, any pen marks or inscriptions & any page tanning. We try to be as fair & accurate as possible with the grading of our books, but if you are unhappy with any classification of condition please let us know as soon as possible. If, for any reason at all, you are unhappy with your purchase, we offer a no quibble, money back guarantee within 30 days of purchase. We also welcome any feedback or comments that you may have as we are always trying to maintain our high levels of customer service.
