The Gift Series is a personal journey for the author, filled with people of her past and present. Her mother was paralyzed by polio and dwelt in darkness for many years which set up opportunity for her to stay with her Grandmother. She was deeply touched by her, a strong woman of faith, leaving her with deep questions which set her on her spiritual search and eventually finding God within. A knower of Truth, the author encourages inspirational reading to enrich life's journeys and change hearts and minds.
The thread of strong faith continues today with her children and grandchildren who walk and worship through many denominations. She titled the series The Gift, in hopes it would cause the reader to try and find the gift. Leaving it up to them to decide what the greatest gift is.
There are three parts to the book; Part one, "Amelia Rose," which takes place when GG, Great Grandma, is in her elder years and she lives her faith strongly. Her Great Granddaughter Amelia Rose becomes her apprentice, eventually taking the baton.
The Second part, "From Whence She Came," is a prequel of "GG's" life. In this book you find out why Loretta Rose, who becomes Great Grandma, "GG" is such a woman of faith, as well as a few other surprises like a very precious gift.
In the Third Part "Away from the Darkness and Into the Light," there is a healing that changes everything, and the greatest gift of all is found.
Faith comes alive through these pages in the form of Prayer Blankets, forgiveness, compassion, and love. The prayer blankets come from home grown wool threads which become mystical hand crocheted blankets with loops of love spoken into them and sent on journeys filled with grace from faithful hearts.
