CHAPTER 1
Carefully Do EverythingWritten In It
"Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it dayand night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then youwill be prosperous and successful." (Joshua 1:8).
Meditation instills what was read in your mind. From yourmind, the storage of all experiences, you reflect the wordof God through your mouth. The spoken word showsyour mind and thought which are given to you from creation in spirit.You can use both mind and thoughtfulness for good or evil; it dependson you. Meditation on God's word will always point you to goodnesswhen goodness is reflected in your thought. Nothing bad is of God. Themind can never be terrible and cannot be wasted for the mind is nottangible and is controlled by the spirit of man. The mind has no methodof measurement for it is satellite within the composition of mankind.There is therefore no way anything material can control the spiritual. The'material' is seen, but the 'spiritual' is unseen. The material cannot see thespiritual for both reside in different planes. However, the spiritual canalways see the material plane.
"Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth." Spokenwords are more effective than unspoken words. Meditation does notalways reflect a silent thought. The most effective meditation is the vocalmeditation that resonates the word of God. What comes out of the mouthis the exact representation of the mind. The substance that occupies yourmind the best is what is executed by faith through your tongue. Therefore,everything written in the word of God must be spoken, meditated,and reflected in our daily life to invoke that which God has promised:prosperity and success.
Meditation cannot occur unless the mind knows the sector of what isbeing reflected. There has to be a segment in the mind holding the wordof God before you can reflect over it. The mind is spiritual and thereforenot tangible. It is infinite and has no ending. The mind itself is not withinthe anatomy of man but in the kingdom that is within man. The onlyphysical tool that can retrieve the content from any segment of the mindis the brain. When the brain is gone, the mind is lost; communicationbetween the physical (matter) and the spiritual (mind) is broken. Themeditation of God's word is guided by the infinite nature of God, whichis spiritual and not the material finitude.
The book of the law means one thing: the word of God. Everythingwritten in it means just that and nothing less. The book of God's law andall the things written in it is the Bible. Every word written in the Bible hasits own meaning and teacher. The Bible teaches not preaches as do pastorsand priests. Teaching and preaching are not the same. Teaching is an actand a process of instilling knowledge and skills. Preaching is a vocation(an urge, and inclination) that has no process. Preaching is not guidedby a procedure to instill or impart knowledge. Teaching is to wisdom aspreaching is to advice. Wisdom is infinite. Advice is finite. Now we seewhy Christ was a teacher and called by the title of "Rabbi" in the Hebrewlanguage.
The hands that wrote the Bible were human, but the penmanship wasthat of the Holy Spirit. The Bible was written by the guidance of the HolySpirit so that man could read and understand it. Writings by the HolySpirit cannot be understood by those without the Holy Spirit. The HolySpirit is of different planes: the infinite and spiritual planes. Man cannotunderstand the writings of that plane without the guidance of he that isof this plane. The Bible is a means to fellowship with the Holy Spirit,and it is for the salvation of man. The Bible has to be understandablefor all. By inspiration through the Heavenly Powerful Father, all volumesof the Bible were compacted into one book with the truth still intact.Authorship of the Bible may be beyond comprehension of the humanmind and brain, but reading and understanding of it is not. The Bibleis the only masterpiece of authorship and authority that exists today andforever.
The Only Source of Truth
The content of the Bible is the only source of understanding wisdomand truth. "Then you will be prosperous and successful" when you doeverything written in it with carefulness. Successfulness is a by-productof carefulness and the same applies to prosperity. A very close and carefulobedience to the principles of investment multiplies the size and theamount of the original principal. One seed of corn sowed in a nourishedsoil will yield more and healthier corn. By carefully doing everythingwritten in the Bible, prosperity and success can be attained. The Bible isthe only book that has numerous pointers to the principles of prosperityas it is done in Heaven. Prosperity and success are not defined as wealth,money and material possessions. These attributes are more reflectiveof good health, wonderful family relationships, happy and respectfulchildren, personal happiness, joy, and peace.
Whatever brings prosperity and success is of God. God is prosperity andsuccess. If God told Joshua not to let this book depart from his mouth, tomeditate on the book night and day and do everything written in it withcarefulness, then through this book—the Bible, God gave us the secretcode to good health, wisdom, love, his financial institution, his mode ofinvestment, his happiness and joy—to mention but a very few of whatthe Bible teaches. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do notgive to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and donot be afraid". (John 14:27). Christ declares here that He never gives likethe world. The world has no peace, but the Word has peace in abundancewhich is the reason to meditate on the Word.
The Bible is not an ordinary book. It is not a book read like a novel,newspaper, or magazine. It is not a family book that sits on the hallwaytable. It is neither a shelf book nor a book used to record family lineageand history. It is not fiction, nor is it by any means science fiction. Youcannot associate the Bible with any culture of this world. It is not a movie,cinema, or drama.
It is a book of truth that has to always be spoken by all. It is a book thatmust be meditated upon day and night. It is a book which its contentmust be applied on everything that we do daily—night and day. Themeaning of life, wisdom, knowledge, understanding of everything and,most importantly, of divine constitution are all inside the Bible, "this bookof law" written by God for God's people. Divine law must be obeyedand cannot be manipulated or maneuvered. Divine proceedings cannot bedisenchanted; otherwise, unexpected infinite results proliferate.
You feel different when you read any page in the Bible. All pages in theBible are a valid starting point. The validity of all pages proves itselfimmediately when you begin reading. No book like this has ever beenwritten before, and no other exists. Start from any page or chapter, andyou will still get a tangible meaning of what is being read. You gain thewonderful understanding of God's outlook in the life He made. A completeunderstanding, regardless of where you begin to read, is the architectureof this book for the author has no beginning or ending. The authorship isinfinitely written in line with His nature.
The infinite authorship knows the mode of operation of our mind,thoughts, brain and the way we reason. As the creator of all the bodyparts, He has a complete knowledge of the architecture and structure ofhuman anatomy and strength. He understands the creation He fashionedand most of all; He is the master of the algorithm of human attitude. TheBible is therefore written based on the limitations of human wisdom sowe may understand without so much frustration. The masterpiece of allthat is wisdom, technical, scientific, and cognitive is lavishly disclosed inthe Bible.
Being the Constitution of God, the Bible is the law of life, the law ofnature, the law of obedience, the law of understanding and of knowledge,the law of a kingdom where nobody is a subject, the law of health, ofprosperity, the law of happiness and joy, the law of perfect health, thelaw of life, the law against uncertainty, the law against limitations, thelaw against hatred, the law against inequality; it is the infinite law; animmutable law. It is the law that defies ratification, the vote for change,and human selfish ends. It is the law of obedience to authority by all,including the authority itself.
The strength, power, truth and the recognition of who we are is not yetexplored by humanity. The exploration of the wealth and goodness ofeverything in the Bible has not yet begun. If man has begun to explore thetruth embedded in every single word within the Bible, the welfare of thisworld and all the aspects of life and living would have been a completeopposite of what it is today. The solution of all our individual problems,world peace, national and continental issues is in the Bible.
The inspirational quality of the Bible is structured in a non-existingmethod never before used by man. The authorship structure of the Bibleis beyond the comprehension of the most adept writer, if there is anycomparable to the authorship. It is like putting thousands of volumes intoa pamphlet of a few pages and still retaining the truth. Human handswrote the Bible so man could read it, but the authorship is that of God.God also assigned the noble teaching of his word to the Holy Spirit whois sent to those who believe in his words. (John 16:14-15). Only the HolySpirit can teach and interpret the meaning of the word of God for this isHis task.
The Unseen Teacher
Unlike any other book, the Bible needs no teacher. The teacher lives inevery word in the Bible. This infinite unseen teacher is representativeof the home class teacher, the principal, the Dean, the registrar, thelaboratory, and the superintendent. Additionally, there is no quiz in thisteacher's classroom. This is how perfect His teaching is; no examinationneeded. The test comes from God (the supreme teacher) when graduationis accomplished. He will teach you the truth; He will teach you only whatHe knows and about the future "All that belongs to the Father [God]is mine [Christ]. That is why I [Christ] said the Spirit will take what ismine and make it known to you." (John 16:15). In His class, all peopleare smart; there are no dumb scholars in His presence. This is the true"no child left behind" policy without racial preference, favoritism, orunnecessary hatred in the mind.
As the Bible is read, the unseen teacher teaches not preaches. Once theBible is opened, regardless of the page, the unseen teacher gets you backon track. His name is Teacher Unseen—The Holy Spirit. His ways arelike that of a Global Positioning System—GPS. You can emerge at anygrid from your submergence and still find your bearing to a meaningfuldirection. You never get lost at any page (grid); instead, you blend inwithout hesitation with the topic in the class.
The unseen teacher is also the architect who weaves and draws allillustrations within the mind to reveal the Bible in its goodness and glory.In His class, there is no manipulation of curriculum to add what is nottrue or to deprive the student of what others before were taught. There isno academic dishonesty in His classroom and no room for such things.All garbage is weeded out on the learning path. The truth of everythingin life, the true meaning of life, is this teacher. The Bible is written andorganized in a way that you cannot cheat while reading and studying it.Cheaters are always set back to first grade to start all over again and areneither abandoned nor rejected.
The Bible is not just a book as misunderstood by the majority of people.The Bible is a book written for the salvation of mankind. It teacheseverybody ways of complete annihilation of poverty, sickness, illiteracy,ignorance, stupidity and most of all it teaches the understanding ofunlimited resources of life. God has no limits, his word has no limits andtherefore humanity shall have no limit; otherwise, the image and likenessof God is just a mere statement. The finitude of man is not the finitudeof his limitations. Man's finitude is material while his infinitude has nolimits. Man has infinite blessing and man's limitations are finite. Man isfinite in nature to see these blessings and take hold of it and of the hiddentreasures of wisdom and knowledge in Christ (Colossians 2:3).
The unseen teacher is infinite in his teaching. No human being needs apreacher to understand the Bible. The teacher is a divine instructor wholives in every word of the Bible and has the power to reshape your thinkingby showing you the truth. Classroom or pulpit preaching is blank in thiskind of power. The divine instructor knows when to reveal and explainan answer to the Bible reader. A Bible reader is the one who starts fromthe beginning, studying mark by mark, word by word, pays attention toevery word and punctuation as written in the Bible to the end—withoutskipping anything. This is the hallmark of whom the Holy Spirit is alwaysready to teach for this is a sign of faithful perseverance, seriousness andendurance to learn, making you a teachable student of righteousness.
The Teacher Unseen, infinite, patient, and loving in all His ways revealsthe meaning of life, not life itself, to the Bible reader who does not or mightvaguely understand life. Those who seem to understand life, if there is anyat all, can then understand the Bible to its fullest glory. Unfortunately, noman understands life except He who came in flesh as God. Only life canunderstand life, and man is not life. Life lives in man who cannot controllife for life can leave man at any time. Life controls time; time does notcontrol life. The life of man is timed by He who made life. Christ is lifeand can control life.
Everything written in the Bible means exactly that. The Bible does notinsinuate, half-explain, make caricature, cartoon, cinematize or dramatizeanything. The Bible glorifies the law of the Kingdom of Heaven. Only thekingdom law is worthy of glorification for the law is He who made it. Noother law deserves glorification. Man-made laws are broken day and nightand always change.
To read the Bible with an image of anything in your mind other than theglory of God, His kingdom and His infinite love is to live in darkness. Anyother image in your mind leads to worship of that image, and this createsthe foundation to misinterpret Bible teaching. The image in your mind isyour thought. Applying your understanding to that image is the worshipof an idol, a serious violation of what the Bible teaches. Image is an idol,and if what you read is applied to that image, then you worship that idolwith the Holy Word of God.
A Book of Glory
As a book of glory, it glorifies the Holy Powerful Father in heaven inhis entire infinitude. You cannot interpret the Bible to suit your personalglory or to augur well with your culture. Doing this is blindness, andyou will end up leading others into blindness and all of you end up ina ditch. Concentrate on the infinite unseen divine teacher for guidanceand understanding as you read. Christ promised this guidance andunderstanding in John 16:14 "He will bring glory to me by taking fromwhat is mine and making it known to you."
An explanation may be withheld pending the time you either reach the nextchapter or the next book. What you do not understand in Deuteronomymay be withheld until you reach the book of Luke to understand themeaning. The same patience evidenced by the instructor; TeacherUnseen, in His eagerness to teach, reveal and explain the truth to yourunderstanding, is required of you by the teacher. Patience is also requiredof you to show your readiness in both training and learning. Every bookin the Bible teaches hidden aspects of life. The book of Genesis teaches onthe divinity of man and the revelation of man's universal splendor throughMoses as one of God's most favorable prophets. In the New Testament,Christ showed man His individual glory as given to Him from creation.
The book of Job explains with all wisdom the operations of man'scognitive methodologies and functions; the book of John explains thedivine awareness of man; and the book of James teaches on the wisdom offaith. These are a few examples of how each book in the Bible teaches oneor more aspect of our life. The meaning of life [not what life is] is in theBible. Man must understand himself first before he can understand anyother aspect of the community in which he lives. The Bible teaches themeaning of life and what life is to man, but does not show life to you. Godis life; man is not. If you can see life, then you can see God. Be careful todo everything written in the Bible, not outside of the Bible, not indirectlyto the Bible. The Bible is the word of life by the author of life himself andis here with all firmness to uphold the glory of he who is infinite.
